Valentine's Day. I've never been a big fan, and apparently Valentine's Day isn't a big fan of me either. She greeted me yesterday morning with a big smile as I dropped the tiny glass bowl I was whisking my egg in and it broke in to a million pieces all over the kitchen. She also brought with her an end to the two really warm days we had, making Lane and I long for our outside picnic and swing time.
That being said, there are lots of things to love this year; flowers in February, baby smell, a wallet that Daddy made for baby with old credit cards in it, happy pregnant friends, alaskan king crab dinners, teeth that are almost through.
#14. Energy. Slow down kiddo....dancing yourself to sleep? You're just like your Daddy. You need a ton of wind-down time before naps and bedtime. There is so much pent up energy in there, it's unbelieveable. I love watching you bounce, dance, sway and rock it away through the days. Crawling will be a welcome outlet to pour some of that energy into. I see sports in our future...or dance...or gymnastics...or a mommy that locks herself in the closet.
FYI, I was correct. Moses the Rooster began crowing this morning. Moses has gotta go. The friend who gave him to us says we should eat him. Dave looked up some chicken slaughtering videos and....I don't know about that...maybe if I hadn't named him? I know we want to have a farm one day and killing chickens is a part of that, but we're going to try to place him first. On the upside, if we do kill him this weekend, we'll have a very interesting blog for you next week.
