St. Patrick's Day is a big deal in Savannah. Hundreds of thousands of visitors and locals line the streets and squares to enjoy one of the largest St. Pats parades in the Nation. The parade is large, but very small town - with lots of local families and businesses participating. Dave and I enjoy it, and we enjoy it more when we have friends and family in town to take with us. This year his Mom came down and experienced the parade, the people watching and of course, drinking from early morning to mid-afternoon in the street with an open container like a true Savanian. It is a beautiful time in our beautiful city, and this year's weather was perfect.
Our visits with his Mom are always laid back and relaxing for all. We had some dinners out and some dinners in, walked Ft. Pulaski with the doggies, played cards on the porch and watched some shows. We were sad to see her go, but she'll be back in just a few weeks!
