Friends in High Places: 38 Week Pictures

Dave and I are very lucky to have gotten to know our friends Jade and Matthew. They are professional photographers and I am constantly amazed by their talents. When Jade offered to take some maternity pics with Dave and I, I was thrilled. There are few people that we would feel comfortable enough around to take this kind of picture of us. I am trying to talk them into beginning a family sector of their business so that I can get beautiful pictures of our girl as she grows up. We have been unlucky with getting photographs of momentous things in our lives, so finally we have some nice pics of a very happy and memorable time. Keep in mind I am 38 weeks in these, so try not to judge my voluptuous physique! I have asked Jade to be at the birth, so hopefully I'll be able to post some non-graphic pics of baby girl's arrival into this world.

The blue beetle below has traveled with Dave and I since we lived in California. Dave bought the beetle a couple of months after we started dating in 2002. It still runs, and we have very happy memories with this car. We were very excited when Jade wanted to use it in the photo shoot. Of course the dock on the river by our house has become a favorite hang out spot for us and our guests, so that seemed like a good idea too.
