12 Weeks

I cannot believe my little girl is 12 weeks old already. The past three months that she has been here are a happy blur of images and moments and memories. She has changed so much, I cannot believe how fast this is all going. Baby girl can now ride on my hip which is fantastic. She holds her head up, puts her arms around me like a baby monkey and looks around when I take her places and talk to people. She stares at all the things around her, just taking it all in. I am happy to announce she is now a crib sleeper! She has been in the crib for 5 nights now, and last night she only woke up once to eat and slept from 945 to 745 leaving mommy feeling rested. I wish I could say that she misses sleeping next to me, but when I go in to get her she is either all smiles or all splayed out asleep. She is getting so close to rolling, when those darn elbows get out of the way she will be there. We had to run some errands today, and made it through three destinations with only minor carseat protests. My excellent car singing seems to chill her out - her favorites are my rendition of 'somewhere over the rainbow' (too bad I do not know all the words - I just make stuff up) and 'how much is that baby in the window'....not sure how doggy became baby, and babies dont have waggly tails, but whose checking anyways?

Life is resuming some sense of normalcy. I can usually get her settled down while we watch some tv and eat dinner, and our sense of humor is in full force again. We laugh...at her, at ourselves, at the silly daily routine. I do not know what I would do without that. Very blessed.
