Until next season....

I was embarrassed to tell my fellow committee members at our last meeting that I didnt want to stay in Atlanta because A&M was playing Louisiana State and I wanted to watch the game! Dave set me up so that I could use an app on his phone to link to his slingbox in New York, which gave me a signal so that on the long drive from Atlanta to Savannah, I could watch (safely?) the game and hear it through the stereo! Just me, the open road, and football - for 4.5 hours. The Aggies suffered an amiable loss that night, but hey, I am proud. We are now BCS ranked 17, not bad.

The Jets suffered a much more stressful end in the AFC championship game vs the Steelers. The slept through the first half and then played a fantastic second half, but it just wasn't enough. FYI - this was the most-watched AFC Champtionship in history with 43.463 million viewers. Dave took the loss well, though I think the Jets mylar balloon that is still floating around mocks him.  It just wont die.

So that is the end to our 2010 football season. We'll watch the Super Bowl this weekend, and I will be pulling for my old team, Green Bay. For marital reasons I changed allegiance when I met Dave, but I still have my cheese mug and Favre jersey (I know, he's gross now but he was cool then). I'll be darned if I am going to route for the Steelers (sorry to the Pittsburgh family and friends). While the super bowl is always interesting - the anticlimactic halftime show and good commercials - I am more excited about the football themed Glee that is coming on afterward! Who can resist a Thriller mash-up?
