I am not sure if this is the pregnancy talking, but wow do I have the urge to craft. Nothing seems beyond my capabilities right now. This weekend I finished organizing the 'nursery' room closet, where I found my drawer of photos that needed to be put into albums, so I did, and resisted the urge to scrap book all of the mementos I found of Dave and I's trips and adventures - maybe that is this weekend's project. At pottery class last night, I made the last of my remaining clay into Christmas tree-shaped cutouts for gift tags which can turn into ornaments. We're glazing next week by the way - I have seven or eight pieces that are worthy of gifting - so beware - you may be recieving a lopsided pot containing a bag of Tanya's homeade granola. You'll know it by the Christmas tree gift tag.
The baby will not know it is a human being for the first 4 years of life let alone appreciate it's room, yet I have this un-yeilding desire to bring it home to a room filled with storybook - level color, hippy creativity and nature-like calm. So far I have spent hours perusing the unbelievable nurseries on the http://www.ohdeedoh.com/ website and have tested the waters with my girlfriends for a craft day involving the creation of a mobile. Since I have not heard back yet, I might have to go with what I am good at - cranes. I have been making these since my Dad dated a japanese girl when I was in middle school. I do not remember what she looked like or her name, but I can make a crane, a man, and a box like a champ - if only I could have gotten frog out of her. Thanks Dad!

My favorite idea so far is this tree idea which I found here:
The walls in the room are currently olive green which coordinates nicely with this woodsy, crafty theme I am going for. I know I am going crazy...you do not need to tell me.
As for baby updates (as requested - otherwise I would not post), I am almost 15 weeks, and we are going to attempt to find out the sex at my 16 week appt. next week. According to my phone app, the baby is about the size of an apple.
This is one of the pics from the last sonogram - there's a face!
