Pants with Feet

Lane's 6 month doctor's appointment was yesterday. She has gained 2 pounds since her last appointment, and is now pushing 14 lbs  (she is still on her same growth curve). We really like our doctor and his staff, they were wonderful when she was sick a couple weeks ago.

At one point during the appointment the doctor was looking down at her chart and asking me some questions about her milestones. The baby was on Dave's lap, grunting and moving around which I wasn't paying much attention to. Without looking up, the doctor asked Dave what he was doing to the baby, to which he responded 'I am trying to get her back into these pants with feet'. Yes, from this day forward, tights in our home are now dubbed 'pants with feet'.

I went to go get our Christmas tree today. Last year's magnolia is doing great in the yard, but I was totally seduced by the upright Yaupon Holly and all it's berry goodness! Cannot wait to get it up and decorated, last year I can put up a tree with low hanging ornaments and berries for a while!

She kept looking at the tree suspiciously. She better get used to visiting nurseries.

 

She was about to nap when I handed her to Santa. She just laid her little head on his furry jacket, sweet baby.
